Villa H

Villa H was conceived from the need to create an exhibition annex, intended to host art exhibitions and vernissages for a client active in the world of painting and sculpture. Situated within a prestigious property overlooking one of Ibiza’s most breathtaking panoramas, the project was designed not merely as an art container, but as an architectural work in its own right, capable of engaging in dialogue with the individual elements within while asserting its own identity. The building stands apart from its context, emerging as an autonomous sculptural presence—a statement of both aesthetics and concept, much like a piece of art.
The design concept developed around two pure volumes, stacked in a dynamic balance, evoking the layering of sculptural elements. The orientation of the volumes was meticulously planned: the upper floor aligns with the sunset, while the lower floor opens toward the entrance, guiding visitors along an architectural and visual journey. A pool, placed transversely to the lower volume, not only defines the property boundaries but introduces a sense of suspension and reflection, enhancing the relationship between built space and nature.
During the execution phase, the project underwent strategic reconfiguration, preserving its conceptual essence through the relocation of the upper volume to the ground floor, ensuring continuity with the original concept and a harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape.
