During the concept phase, the suspension bridge project was developed to ensure a perfect balance between functionality, sustainability, and landscape integration. The infrastructure features two lanes and a cycle/pedestrian area on each side, providing a safe and efficient connection for various mobility users.
Immersed in a natural setting, the bridge was designed with particular attention to minimizing environmental impact. Through the application of BIM methodology, various design alternatives were analyzed to identify the optimal solution in terms of structural efficiency, economic sustainability, and reduction of CO₂ emissions (LCA – Life Cycle Assessment).
The structure, made of closed-section concrete, has no central pylons and is supported by a pair of converging arches in the middle of the bridge. The cable-stay system ensures optimal load distribution, guaranteeing stability and visual lightness.
Special attention was paid to lighting, with low-intensity LED systems integrated into the sides to minimize impact on local fauna. This approach ensures traffic safety without interfering with the ecosystem's balance, avoiding light dispersion and glare.
